PLENARY SPEAKERS

  1. Marthyn Cuan
    Marthyn Cuan is the Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Meralco, mandated to spearhead digital pivot of Meralco Group. Marthyn’s Digital Transformation Office handles the development of the overall digital strategy and roadmap for the Philippine’s largest electric distribution utility. arthyn is also co-founder and Vice President of IdeaSpace Foundation.
  2. Gio Abaquin
    Gio is the Product Manager of M2M and Enterprise Mobility, of SMART Enterprise the segment that supports wireless products and services for PLDT ALPHA Enterprise PLDT. His portfolio includes SMART and PLDT Alpha’s M2M and IoT Solutions, spread across various verticals. Among them are: M2M Telemetry, Health, Pay, Virtual Learning, Pharma, PowerForm, Credit, Merchandising and Rewards. Gio is the Chairman of the Internet of Things Work Group of the Conexus Alliance, one of Asia Pacific’s largest Mobile Alliances with nine carrier members from across the region.
  3. Yue Savage
    Yue Savage is VP of Sales for APAC for Impinj. She has 10 years of experience in RFID and 6 years focus in Impinj for Asia Pacific. Impinj RFID is market leader of RFID Readers with applications in IOT for a lot of vertical markets. But RFID and IOT applications is very strong in Retail and Healthcare.
  4. Teo Pohsoon
    Teo Poh Soon is the Sales Director for Utimaco in ASIA where he has a responsibility in the sales and development of technology partner, channel partner and customer relationships. His role will focus in helping Utimaco customers in designing and implementing data protection solution. He has 24 years of experience in Information and communication technology (ICT) industry with a particular emphasis in Data security and Network Security
  5. Joel Garcia
    Joel is the Developer Experience and Evangelism (DX) Lead for Microsoft Philippines and a 23 year IT veteran. His current role covers evangelizing the Microsoft solutions for academe, developers, startups and ISVs. Microsoft is transforming to deliver experiences through intelligent cloud, a unified platform across devices and helping ISVs drive their solutions in the market. His previous roles were cloud and enterprise business lead for the Philippines as well as spending 4 years at Microsoft Corp with the core product management team for Windows Server based out of Seattle. Joel has played roles in consulting, sales, presales and a founder of his own company. In the “earlier” days Joel help architect solutions that ran some of the largest systems in telco prepaid and web architectures across financial services, government and retail. In this light he has helped many companies increase their business agility through their infrastructure and maximizing investments.
  6. Lowell Tortana
    Lowell Tortona is a De La Salle University graduate with a degree in Computer Science. Prior to joining Nokia, Lowell was a Business Unit Head for a Manila-based Japanese company. Lowell joined Nokia Manila R&D Center and has been with the company for 5 years to date. He began his career with Nokia as a line manager in one of the product business line and is now leading a 5G research feature team in Manila.
  7. Dr. Hernando Delizo
    Dr. Hernando B. Delizo is Chair and CEO of The Heathcare Business Development Partners Holdings, Inc.. He founded Mediserv in 1992 as a laboratory offering specialty tests to Doctors and clinics throughout the Philippines. He founded Clinica Manila in 1994, becoming the first comprehensive mall-based healthcare facility in the Philippines. Dr Delizo is known as the “First Filipino Health Retailer in the Private Sector”, backed up by his outstanding credentials in various entrepreneurship ventures. Currently, he is President of Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Quezon City. Dr. Delizo still finds time to practice his specialty, Endocrinology and Geriatrics, at University of Santo Tomas and several HBD clinics. .
  8. Leo Lirio
    Leo Lirio is the President and CEO of IOT Technology Incorporated. He was also the previous Vice President and COO of M2M Wireless Tech Corporation.
  9. Mark Vernon
    Mark has been in the IT industry for the last 27 years, starting in 1988 as an Apple Dealer, then in 1994 he created a training company which produced the first IT Training CDs. He spent 5 years in Silicon valley building his company and then semi retired in 2004 to sail around the world - for 6 years! But he packed his laptop …. and he even created two more startups while sailing. After landing in SE Asia 4 years ago, he came to the Philippines where he set up an incubator offering angel investment for startups. For the last couple of years, he has been building Tagcash, a payments and rewards platform; and Tagbond, an asset tracking system.
  10. Fred Chua
    Fred Chua, an Electronics and Communication Engineering Graduate at the University of the Philippines, is the President of My3D Concepts Corp “3D2gO” which is the 1st End-to-End 3D Scanning, Prototyping and Printing Service provider focused on both the mainstream consumer and corporate markets. He’s the Chief Executive Officer of Magellan Solutions Outsourcing, Inc.
  11. Cedric Ng
    Cedric C. Ng is the CEO, OmniFab 3D Technologies
  12. Jomar Tigcal
    Jomar is an Android Developer, Trainer, and Consultant. He is one of the community Managers of GDG Philippines. On his free time, he is developing personal applications using Android, Android Wear, and other technologies. He has personal apps on Google Play Store, including the GDG Watchface for Android Wear and Help Me, which has an Android Wear app.
  13. Christopher David
    Christopher David is a VR Evangelist and Developer that works as an R&D Engineer at Nokia by day but leads a double life in the metaverse. He co-founded VR Philippines to boost the local Virtual Reality community and help put the Philippines in the forefront of this exciting technological revolution. He is currently setting up his own VR startup which aims to bring virtual reality to everyone. He also serves as the Board Member for VR at ACM SIGGRAPH Manila and is also an organizer of the Asia Pacific VR Network.
  14. Art Polo Gabriel III
    Art is the Project Manager / Lead Developer / Solutions Architech Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Unit of Blastasia Inc PH. He is also Co-founder, Mobile IT for Youth, MOBILITY. A former,Web Master / Developer at Central Luzon State University and a he is also an acoustic singer by profession.
